A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jess and Darren over at the Royal Hotel in Hull.
There was a massive rally for Jeremy Corbyn going on in Hull on the day, so I made the trip across on my Harley to get through the traffic, and of course - in typical fashion, there wasn't any at all!
The hotel was a lovely place for a wedding - super swanky!
We started with a few snaps in the hotel room before heading down for the vows. The speeches afterwards were very emotional, and a few tears were flowing by the end.
The first dance raised plenty of laughs as Darren whipped off his jacket to reveal a pretty awesome light-up jacket underneath!
People danced, people laughed and people loved. I love wedding days!
Here's a few pictures of their day.
Just a short blog post for this wedding - I only covered the ceremony and a couple of hours at the venue afterwards.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Donna and Gavin at Barnsley Town Hall. We had an hour of sunshine before the vows, but by the time we came out it was bucketing down - typical British summer!
After the ceremony, it was off to the pub!
The reception was held in the Black Bull Hotel at Stairfoot, a traditional British pub with real ales and a cozy atmosphere.
The rain was on and off all day, but didn't dampen the spirits - the beer garden was full, the drink was flowing, the kids were playing and everyone was having a good time.
The Bride even got behind the bar and pulled a few pints!
The evening was concluded with a very emotional first dance. Love was definitely in the room that night.
Here's a few pictures of their day.
We've been planning this shoot for a while and today we managed to get some shots -
Kayleigh had been dying to get out and get some shots of herself in her Prom dress.
We wanted to take the formality of the dress out into some less than formal environments, so we had a little shoot at the old Priory and then on into the woods to get some greenery.
Kayleigh is super shy, but still modelled like a champ for me.
Here are some snaps.
A few weeks ago, I was privileged to shoot the wedding of Pam and Andy over in Stockport.
The day started with bridal prep at the couple's home, with a quick trip round the corner to catch some prep shots of the groom, followed by the vows at Stockport Register office, then on to the Pinewood on Wilmslow for the reception.
We had beautiful summer sunshine from start to finish.
The bridal prep was good fun as always, with my favourite comment of the day being - "don't go in there Martyn - it's all boobs and bums!"
I snapped away for a while before popping round the corner to the groom's parent's house, where the boys were getting ready, to grab a few shots.
After that, it was a slog of a drive into a very packed Stockport town centre to the Register Office. We arrived a little late, but soon got down to business.
The vows were said, kisses were had and confetti was thrown.
After the know was tied, it was on to the Pinewood on Wilmslow.
We did some group shots in the gardens, grabbed some shots of the happy couple, and I tried to not drop my camera from laughing when Andy got down on bended knee to get the garter between his teeth.
Speeches were said, glasses were raised and drinks were drunk.
It was then time for the first dance, but that was quickly mobbed when the DJ blasted Oasis from the speakers! Awesome.
It was a brilliant day and I enjoyed every minute.
Thanks for having me guys.
A few snaps from their day.
Thought I'd start this little blog to let people know what we get up to. Some personal stuff thrown in the mix too.
