We popped down to Leicester on Saturday, to have a little meeting with Anna and Matt, and have a nosey around their wedding venue where they will be tying the knot next year. I took a camera along and twisted their arms until they agreed to a few shots around the place! When I say a few, I mean a few - it was pretty much freezing out there! They were champs though, and we had a few laughs as we moseyed around the place - I'm not big on posing people, I prefer to try and let it flow to get a more natural feel. It was lovely to meet you two, looking forward to getting back down there next year for the main event! Here are a few snaps.

I love lazy Sundays. A lie in, a late breakfast and a generally relaxing day. But today we decided to liven things up a bit and go and jump around the local skatepark! I had some new gear to test, so grabbed a camera and took it along with my two youngest boys to grab some snaps. I took a fisheye lens to get some crazy angles going on. Alfie enjoyed a little bit of skating - he's not been out on his board a great deal, so is still finding his feet. He considered dropping into one of the ramps, but settled for posing for photos at the top! Freddie enjoyed a few tries on the board, but was happier playing with his ball for a bit before heading over to the slide. A bit of fun with my boys. A perfect Sunday. Some snaps of my skater boys. (P.S. Last pic is when we got home - I still annoyed him with the camera even while taking his shoes off!) My little ginger ninja likes to dress up. Whether it be in full camo gear and assault vest for a walk in the woods, full basketball kit to shoot some hoops in the local park, or dressing like a little gent like he did today for our trip out to dinner. On our way out I grabbed my little Fuji X70 and a little flash and we stopped off on the way home to grab a few snaps as the sun was going down. He managed to keep a serious posing face for most of it, but his cheeky little smile popped through at the end! He thinks he looks like a crime boss from Gotham. His mum thinks he looks like a mini Doctor Who! Here he is, my little poser. My little Alfie wanted some time on the punchbag - so we decided to do a little photo shoot. We jumped in the garage, set up a flash and turned off the lights to make some dark, moody images. He gave that bag some welly! Here's a few pictures. We've been planning this shoot for a while and today we managed to get some shots -
Kayleigh had been dying to get out and get some shots of herself in her Prom dress. We wanted to take the formality of the dress out into some less than formal environments, so we had a little shoot at the old Priory and then on into the woods to get some greenery. Kayleigh is super shy, but still modelled like a champ for me. Here are some snaps. Took my littlest monster for a walk yesterday to our local woods. It was just the two of us - a little daddy and boy time. His little legs managed to complete a full two mile loop all by himself - although we did stop a zillion times! We threw stones and twigs, scooped leaves into the air, blew dandelion clocks and picked lots of flowers. I say pick - he pretty much pulled them into a million pieces! By the time we'd finished, he looked like a little mucky snot monster with leaves for hair and fingernails from a Saw movie!
He loved every second of it. And so did I! Here are a few snaps from our little walk. On Sunday we popped over to Stockport for a wedding consultation with the lovely Victoria and Garry, whose wedding I'll be shooting in a few weeks. Whilst we were out and about, and the sun was shining, we thought a little stretch of the legs was in order! On our way home we detoured down to the Peak District to have a little walk round Ladybower.
My middle boy was all adventure-time happy, my eldest was just his usual stroppy-teen self and my littlest monkey was a complete snot-drenched mucky monster by the time we'd finished. I think he also manged to single-handedly throw a metric ton of stones into the reservoir. We walked on logs, jumped through the trees, skimmed some stones, tried to pet the sheep, found a geocache, had a little picnic and a few flasks of tea and enjoyed some glorious British sunshine. Here are a few snaps. Including a rare one of me taken by Mrs T. It was the boss' birthday weekend, so we gallivanted up to Helensburgh, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park in Scotland. We explored mountains and lochs and rivers and forests, and a couple of waterfalls for good measure. We did a spot of geocaching and even visited an old SAS hero too! We drove lots, walked lots, ate lots and drank lots. (That last part may have been more me than anyone else...)
It was ace. Get yourself up there for some fresh mountain air. Be careful though - you may end up quitting your day job and looking for a cabin in the woods to live in! Here are a few snaps. The sun made a rare appearance, so we donned our wellies and headed up the road to the Priory. As always, I grabbed a camera and a couple of lenses - one of which was a 43 year old Russian lens which can be a pain to use, but can also give some fun effects. Little Mr Short Legs got tired after walking for about a half hour, but we still managed to have fun and take some snaps. We also spotted an Easter Bunny!
It feels like it's been winter forever here in Yorkshire, so this morning we took advantage of the nice(ish) weather and wandered into the local woods. We jumped in streams, played with sticks and generally pretended to be Indiana Jones. One of us had a few toddler tantrums too - and it wasn't me for a change! Anyway - here's a few snaps. |
