For Father's Day, we decided to have a little walk up near Baslow edge in the Peak District.
We managed to have a little picnic near the Wellington Memorial and just got to Eagle Stone before it started lashing down, forcing us back down the hill.
Alfie managed to get a bit of 'climbing' done and also collected a fern that he wants to press for his journal.
Freddie was happy shouting at the sheep!
He also found a bit of wool on the path - but couldn't figure out whether he loved it or it just made him say 'bleurghbleurghbleargh'!
We tried to do a spot of geocaching, but after nearly falling down the rocky hillside behind the monument, I gave it up as a bad job!
We did manage to find a nice, leafy path where the tree canopy gave us some shelter from the rain, so Alfie and Freddie had a nice play in the leaves.
We'll be back to finish our loop soon enough.
Managed a few snaps before the weather got the better of us.
Thought I'd start this little blog to let people know what we get up to. Some personal stuff thrown in the mix too.
